Juan Suarez is a 39-year-old man who has been totally blind since he was 7 years old. Since his very earliest childhood, Juan has had a passion for music and radio. From 1984 to 1997, he volunteered and was employed by a popular radio station in the Chicago area where he learned to be a disc jockey (DJ). He started promoting concerts and other musical events. His experience and two years of education at Columbia College of Broadcasting eventually led to management positions at the radio station where he served as Vice President and Operations Manager for two years. In 2005, Juan realized a lifelong dream by initiating a music and event promotion company called WCYC Entertainment, LLC.
